Privacy Policy

MFOS (Master Family Operating System) is a private tool for organizing your household. This policy explains what we collect, how it is used, and the choices you have. MFOS is currently in beta, and this policy may be updated as the product evolves.
Information we collect
Account information. When you sign up we store your email address and an encrypted password managed by our authentication provider. We never store your password in plain text.
Household content. We store the information you and your household members choose to add — such as family profiles, calendars, meals, recipes, bills, tasks, contacts, and account references. This content is visible only to members of your household.
We do not store account passwords. For household service records, we store only where a password is kept (for example, the name of your password manager) and optional non-sensitive hints — never the passwords themselves.
How we use information
We use your information to operate MFOS: to authenticate you, keep your household data in sync across your devices, and provide the features you use. We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use your household content for advertising.
How information is shared
Your household content is shared only with the members of your household, and — where you explicitly choose to — with households you connect to or through content you publish to the community. You control these connections and can remove them at any time.
We rely on trusted infrastructure providers (including our database and hosting providers) to store and serve your data. They process data on our behalf and do not have independent rights to use it.
Data storage and security
Your data is stored in a managed PostgreSQL database with row-level security, so requests are scoped to the households you belong to. We use industry-standard measures to protect your information, though no online service can guarantee absolute security.
Your choices and rights
You can review and edit your household content at any time from within the app. You can permanently delete your account from Settings → Delete account. Deleting your account removes your login and your personal (single-member) household data; shared households you belong to remain for the other members.
Children
MFOS is designed for families to manage information about their own household, including children, under the direction of a parent or guardian. Child profiles are created and controlled by household adults.
